SP-E flush-mounted systems are mainly designed for use in newly erected buildings but can also be installed in existing ones, provided the necessary changes to the lintel are made. It is important to plan the use of such solutions, including their installation method, as early as the building design stage to maximize the product’s functional benefits.
SP-E systems deliver excellent thermal and sound insulation performance as they do not interfere with windows, doors, or lintels, thereby maintaining the building’s energy efficiency. What’s more, they seamlessly integrate with the building’s façade, forming an integral part of it. The front section of the box serves as a base for any finishing material (e.g., clinker), making it an inconspicuous element of the façade.
Other elements, such as the access cover or channels, can be colour-matched to the windows. As with adaptive systems, the roller’s curtain can be made of foam-filled plastic or extruded profiles. Roller shutters in flush-mounted systems can also be equipped with an insect screen, providing effective protection against insects while maintaining the flow of light and fresh air into interior spaces.
